REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
When
purchasing be aware that the refund and exchange policy varies from store to store. When purchasing have
the store put its return and exchange policy in writing on your invoice.
Some stores display their policies,
however, Ontario law does not require
retailers to post their policy and is only done as a courtesy. Generally sale items are purchased as is and do not qualify for refund or
exchange; nevertheless some stores will exchange items or give a credit slip to
maintain customer goodwill. Finally, some stores have a time limit for refunds
